Are you tasked with monitoring the liquid level in an open water reservoir, river, or in a closed or vented tanking system? Tavis transducers have been providing liquid level measurements for anything from wine fermentation tanks to remote lakes. Flush diaphragm models have been designed to bolt directly onto tank walls. Ported transducers are easily plumbed into manifolds and processing vats. Even submersible styles have been developed to reside directly in the liquid, whether an open water body or a down-hole well. Vent lines can be used to provide atmospheric or ullage pressure reference for very accurate liquid level data. Tavis Technical Bulletin #103 may be of interest to those looking for additional information on tank gauging and liquid level measurement.

High reliability liquid level measurements with Tavis transducers/transmitters have featured:
  • High corrosion resistance stainless steels and Inconels
  • Either 2- and 3-wire current loop (4-20 mA) outputs or 4-wire voltage outputs
  • Submersible configurations with vented reference ports
  • Liquid intrusion into a reference port will not damage the all-metallic welded gage
  • Underwater electrical/data cables
  • Small diameter, down-hole well capability
  • Self-clearing diaphragm ports for clog-free operation
  • Custom mounting provisions
